Over
a decade ago, Emerald Isle resident and school
teacher, Teresa Morris, started Camp Croatan, a summertime day
camp and afterschool enrichment program for elementary school
children.
The program was immensely popular with the children
and families who were a part of it. Now Camp Croatan is back for
a whole new generation!

is for Kids in grades K-4
After school
program is $65/week.
About the
Instructor
Ms. Morris' is a descendant of
the First People, or Indians, of Coastal North Carolina, and has taught
courses in Indian history at both Carteret and Coastal Carolina
Community College. As Founding Director of
Coastal Carolina Indian Center and
Association,
she was the principal organizer for the Great Salt Water
Educational Fair and Powwow in 2004. Her work as an indigenous
historian also led her to appear in a documentary film shown on
the History Channel, In Search of History: The Lost Colony
of Roanoke.
